RASPBERRIES FOR PETA

Don't get your knickers in a knot, I don't have anything against PETA. Good peeps. Sometimes I just wish they'd get a sense of ha-ha. Very important when you live with as many animals as I do. For today, I'll focus on the furry ones.

Here's Rex, who thinks life is a great joke and could appreciate my concern for his welfare - it was hot, hot, hot in the Okanagen. Obviously, he's very secure in his masculinity. Pink hat? Bah!! Psstt...don't tell him he's castrated.

Now granted, not all animals are as happy-go-lucky as Rex, which makes the next dude's name kind of ironic. This is Lucky, looking like he wants to do me great harm. I'm not entirely sure what the Prince was drinking when he made this hat from a take-out tray & painter's tape. It must've been one of his MacGyver moments. There are many.

The quality of the next pic is poor, so you're just going to have to take my word for it. Here's the Prince, looking boyishly handsome, with Bear. Don't ya think Bear looks really smart in those specks? I'm sure he feels smart too. This is the most laid-back cat I've ever seen in my life. He's just like a big old orange lump of go-ahead-do-whatever-you-want-just-feed-me.

We've come to the interactive part of today's blog. Think the tune from the Lion King when Mufasa holds up baby Simba for all the animals to admire their future king. Ready? I'll start:

Huutttt nnyyaaaa muunnn nyattt nyaaaa...

This little guy is Max, named for a character in Suzanne Brockmann novels because I was reading Flashpoint at the time and he's really hot. The character, not the kitty. That's just gross. And yes, I really was singing the Lion King tune when this picture was taken. 'Cuz I'm sweet that way.
