Remember 7 year old Shane Bernier's request for birthday cards? I saw an update over the weekend. He's received 250,000 greetings, including a signed flag from Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan! Shane and his younger brother having been having great fun reading the cards - they're probably getting a heck of a geography lesson too. The family's garage is filling up with boxes his grandfather has counted and packed away. It's hard to explain how beautiful Shane's smile is, or how touching his mother's tears of gratitude are.
